How Long Does It Really Take to Get Marked Abs?

how long it takes to get abs

The time you spend having your abdomen checked depends on your body fat percentage.

If you are a man, you will need to lose around 10% body fat and if you are a woman, approximately 20% body fat percentage.

It is important to keep in mind that well-demarcated abs will not go out overnight, the first thing you need is to have a low percentage of body fat.

It depends on your body fat, if you are male or female, men occupy less percentage of body fat to be marked.

It is not going to take the same for a man with obesity and a percentage of body fat in 25% than a thin man with 15% body fat.

For a man with 15% body fat, it will probably take 2 months to have a marked abdomen.

The man with 20% body fat will take about 20 weeks to have a marked abdomen.

A man with 26% body fat will take about 30 weeks to have a marked abdomen.

A man with 30% body fat will take approximately 41 weeks to have a marked abdomen.

First calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI), dividing your weight in kilos by your height in meters squared. For example:

If you weigh 65 kg and measure 1.70 m, then square your height (1.70) 2 = 2.89. Now, your weight of 65 is divided by 2.89 and you will get a BMI of 22.49.
