Here are the tips to evacuation during Hurricane Michael and how we handle the evacuation plan for you and your family.
1. Plan the places.
where your family will meet, both in and around your neighborhood. Use the family emergency plan to choose these places before a disaster situation.
2. If you have a car, have the fuel tank full before the possibility of evacuation.
Always keep the fuel tank half full in case there is an unexpected need to evacuate. It is possible that fuel stations are closed during emergencies and that fuel cannot be charged during power outages. Plan to drive one car per family to reduce traffic congestion and delays.
3. Familiarize yourself with alternate routes and other means of transportation outside your area.
Choose multiple destinations in different directions to have options in an emergency situation.
